Living with a working farm and orchard means we have access to much fresh and freshly prepared food.
Garden salads, salsa, peaches, sweet corn, applesauce and apple cider are favorites. When we can, we eat meat raised on our farm.
The fall potato harvest, in which the entire community participates, provides potatoes for the whole year.
We have freshly baked cookies and other desserts several times each week. Our optional breakfast, served in the kitchen, offers a selection of hot and cold foods. Olney Friends School's traditional cinnamon buns are worth waking up for on Saturday and Sunday mornings.
The entire community gathers for lunch, which is served family style. Supper is more informal, served buffet-style and supervised by the faculty on duty each evening. Vegetarian options are always provided.
Our student body is more than a collection of individuals from many countries. It is an opportunity for learning deeply what it means to thrive in a 21st century global community.
