Weekends are much more relaxed than weekdays. Weekends begin after major office work (cleaning chores) Friday afternoon. On weekends, students may sleep late and most activities are optional. Most students stay on campus during the weekends. Each weekend there are one or two all-community events and several small group activities.
Students can choose from a variety of other weekend activities. Our activities range from the silly to the serious and include games, movies, trips to the mall or nearby cities, sports, concerts, coffeehouses, or wilderness activities. Students can sign out of campus to walk or bike to a local restaurant, bowling alley, public library or shops. Student cars are not allowed on campus. Many students bring bicycles and are encouraged to bike into town or to take trips to nearby bicycle trails.
On Sunday mornings the entire community attends Meeting for Worship. Sometimes students attend religious services at other nearby places of worship.
Sunday evening study hall gives us a chance to get back into the academic schedule. We end Sundays with a gathering in each dorm, a chance to catch up on each other's weekend activities and discuss issues of importance in the dorm.
Our student body is more than a collection of individuals from many countries. It is an opportunity for learning deeply what it means to thrive in a 21st century global community.

Although nothing comes close to a real-world visit, you can now take a virtual tour of our beautiful campus in this online feature.
