Excellent progress has been made toward the goals of the A Time to Build Campaign: Endowment funding, Main Building restoration, Dormitory improvements, Annual Fund increases, and the Activity Center.

During the summer of 2008 new furniture was purchased for both the Boys and Girls Dormitories. New energy efficient windows were installed in both dormitories. The Boys Dorm has new exterior doors. The Girls Dorm has improved interior lighting.

Exterior restoration of the Main building is progressing, with repairs to the century-old slate roof and bell tower beginning in December, 2010. With proper maintenance the roof should serve for an additional 100 years. Work to restore the brick façade and improve the energy efficiency of the windows is next on the list of projects.

Gifts to Endowment funds have been received and those to the Annual Fund are on the increase. Both of these priorities are essential to Olney’s financial health.
