Early Entrance Option

Thanksgiving Feast

Begin Your High School Career Early

Students entering 8th grade have the unique option of possibly starting high school a year early. For students with a proven track record of academic success, social and emotional maturity, intellectual curiosity and independent thinking, the Early Entrance Option at Olney Friends School may be a viable option.

Early Entrance students at Olney follow the same academic track and take the same core courses (math, science, humanities) as all other 9th graders while also having the opportunity to take any of our numerous electives throughout the year.

Admissions criteria and selectivity for this option are considerably higher than for students entering on a traditional track, but all interested students are still encouraged to apply.
